As a twinning association the Friends of Rheinbach only needs to collect a small amount of data from members but does so in strict accordance with the latest rules on data protection and privacy.
The data we ask for In order to carry out periodic communications with members we ask for normal contact details so that members may be contacted electronically, or by post or, exceptionally, by phone.
In some cases relating to specific activities, such as visits to Rheinbach or the hosting of visitors from there, we may ask for additional information about, for example, special needs or preferences.
What we do with your data The information details held about you will only be used only by elected committee members of The Friends of Rheinbach to manage membership subscriptions, to send you information about events, activities and the annual visit either to or from Rheinbach or any other item which we think will be of interest to you.
Storage and Protection of your data Data is kept secure on our database with appropriate and reasonable security measures in place. Any hard copy forms are also stored securely.
At no time will any data you provide be shared with any other organisation with the sole exception of the Freunde von Sevenoaks when arranging a visit to stay with one of their members or the hosting of a German visitor in the UK.
How long do we keep your data We will keep your data only as long as
you are a member and until such time that we do not believe that your
membership is likely to be renewed.
