Thursday 27.09.2007:

Most visitors arrived on Thursday by coach.. After afternoon tea in the council chamber, they were met by hosts and transferred to their accommodation. This year guests not being put up by families stayed at the Royal Oak hotel .

Friday 28.09.2007:

On Friday, all the Rheinbachers enjoyed a day trip to Canterbury.

Saturday 29.09.2007:

On Saturday all the Rheinbachers and their hosts attended a dedication ceremony at Rheinbach Gardens.  The ceremony was also attended by Sevenoaks MP Michael Fallon and a representative of the German Embassy.  Sevenoaks Town Mayor, Richard Parry, welcomed the guests and together with Rheinbach Deputy Mayor, Dr Knauber unveiled the new Rheinbach Gardens sign The event was followed by a reception at the town council chamber during which the Friends of Sevenoaks presented 2 bollards which will be installed in Rheinbach gardens in due course.

In the evening a dinner party was held at the Donnington Manor Hotel. The room was decorated in a garden / flower theme to reflect the new "Rheinbach Gardens"

Sunday 30.09.2007:    

After an amazing feet of driving to get the bus out of the Royal Oak Hotel car park, the Rheinbachers left on the return journey to Germany....
